Data You Give Us Directly
If you type a name, phone number, or address into a search box, the request is sent to the third-party provider that supplies those results. Lynwood Residents Directory does not keep a copy of that search in its own page content. A message sent through an available contact channel contains whatever information the sender chooses to include, and it is used to respond or route the issue.
Data We Gather Automatically
Hosting and security systems may create ordinary server logs such as an IP address, browser type, viewed URL, referrer, and time of access. These logs help maintain uptime, investigate abuse, and understand aggregate page use. They are not a resident roll and are not used to identify a person from a public record.
What We Do With This Data
Information sent to the site is used to operate the pages, answer a contact message, protect the service, measure broad traffic, and correct broken links or misleading directions. It is not used to create a Lynwood resident profile. Search providers and hosting vendors may process information under their own policies.
Links to Other Websites
The pages link to portals operated by the Los Angeles County Assessor, Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, Treasurer and Tax Collector, Elections, Superior Court, Lynwood departments, libraries, California agencies, USPS, and other custodians. A linked office may set cookies, retain submissions, or use different security practices. Review its privacy notice before entering personal information.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting, security, analytics, and search vendors may process the limited technical or form data needed to provide their services. Information can also be disclosed when required by law, to respond to a valid legal demand, or to protect the service and its users. The government sources described on the pages receive requests made directly to them, not through a hidden Lynwood database.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and administrative steps are used for the small amount of information handled by the service. No online transmission or storage method is guaranteed secure. Do not send an unredacted identification document, Social Security number, medical detail, or other sensitive material unless an official custodian specifically requires it through a verified channel.
Users Under 18
The pages are not designed to solicit information from children. Do not submit a minor’s personal details through a contact or search tool. Court, school, adoption, voter, and other protected records may have separate access rules even when an adult asks about them.
Your California Data Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following, gives covered consumers rights to know or access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and receive equal treatment. Send a privacy question through the Contact page. Identity may need to be confirmed before a request is handled.
California’s public-record boundary matters. Government information such as real-property records and professional licenses is generally publicly available at its government source and is not erased there by a request to a private service. California’s Delete Act created the CalPrivacy DROP platform at privacy.ca.gov/drop. California residents can use it to send a deletion request to registered data brokers; broker processing begins August 1, 2026.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change when the service, vendors, or applicable California privacy rules change. The current text will be posted here with the effective date of the revision. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to later use.
